A powerful double choir of Voices Rising: women building community through song and Women in Harmony, visiting from Portland, Maine. They all performed today in the Eliot Church of Newton, MA. Familiar songwriters such as Mimi Fariňa and Holly Near, but also some rare beautiful poetry settings and a song popularized by Frank Sinatra. Source |
