It was from the Save the Whales concerts in Tokyo in 1977. I was sitting in a group of Japanese Save the Whales fans with some very close musical friends. There was Fred Neil and Vince Martin, Richie Havens and Mimi Fariña. Odetta was performing the shows. Warren Zevon was there too writing an article for Rolling Sone that never came out...Lonnie Mack and Louisiana Red. All of them gone away. It's a strange alone feeling. Feels almost like you're the last soul standing. A great box set of the concerts came out in last couple years." Eric Andersen |
